Utilizing a variety of materials and techniques, I created this icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Both Black Madonna imagery and street art in Austin, TX inspired this piece. Gold beads, iridescent ribbon, and metallic purple rings sparkle like stars against the night sky.
The quilt has been attached to a stretched canvas, which has a wire on the back for easy hanging
