As communities of women religious (nuns and sisters) shift, many of the older sisters who embraced the changes of Vatican II have expressed concern that younger nuns are embracing older traditions. This is causing a greater divide between generations. I was inspired to create a monastery garden in which three Carmelite nuns are enlivened by the Holy Spirit. They dance in psychedelic habits in their cloister – what seems old is made new by joy!
