While living in Austin, I loved all of the longhorn skulls decorating local venues and I wanted to decorate one with Our Lady of Guadalupe. It was easier to 3D print a skull and paint it, it will definitely last longer with the glue holding the fabric & jewelry to it! The sweet pink, green, and blue tones highlight the life Mama Guadalupe brought to blossom amidst the death of winter. Vintage silver jewelry decorate Her and dangle from the skull, honoring them.
I 3d printed this longhorn skull and painted it. I quilted, embroidered, and beaded the Guadalupe piece and glued it to the skull. The chains dangle from a wire attached in the back, which is also used for easy hanging.
