Several years ago I created this piece to express a good, creative friendship. We were both fans of folk horror and dark mystery, so I attempted to create a misty forest. A stag was emerging from the dark recesses. Then that friend ghosted me and the stag broke, so I threw the piece on top of a shelf and didn’t think about it for a while. I recently took it down, repaired it, and replaced the stag with a fox and a hound – reminiscent of the tragic Disney film.
