About K Kriesel

K, they/she, is originally from Chicago and currently resides in Jo Daviess county, Illinois. They studied art therapy at Alverno College and interned at both the Milwaukee Gay Arts Center and The Alliance School, and alternative high school for LGBTQIA+ kids who had been bullied out of their regular schools.

Raised Catholic and having converting to Wicca for a few years, K now blends the symbolism, ritual, and mysticism of these traditions into practice and artwork.

Before the pandemic they facilitated workshops for church groups in Indianapolis, Austin, and Seattle that wanted to be more LGBTQIA+ inclusive; they have also helped both Christian and Wiccan groups virtually since then.

K pursued ordination through the Roman Catholic Women Priests and attended seminary, a requirement of the organization, in ‘17-’19 but had to withdraw due to a lack of financial aid.

Ordination through the Universal Life Church has been a way for K to facilitate important life events such as wedding, transition, coming out, naming, croning, and funerary ceremonies.
